EU satisfied with Belgrade response during gay pride parade

The European Union has praised the organization of the gay pride parade in Belgrade and the Serbian authorities’ support for the people’s right to freely express themselves, Serbian Politika daily writes.
“We believe the Serbian authorities have adequately supported the rally and have taken all necessary measures to protect it,” says the office of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.

    Protect the minority’s benefits is one of the main goal for the government. We should give the social minorities more ways to express them.

    • I think it is every government’s struggle to find the fine balance between human rights and freedom of religion/belief. In this case, the right thing has been done.
