In its second year, the Programme aims to support the proteges’ career development. They will be benefited from the experience and the network of the mentors, who will be giving them valuable advice in making informed decisions about their career. The programme is mainly driven by the proteges, who will jointly decide with the mentors what they expect to gain from the programme. They are then free to decide on the frequency and means of communications that both of them feel comfortable with. We will provide a list of suggested activities as well as training and tool kits to facilitate the cultivation of a meaningful mentor-protege relationship.
The programme will be kick-started in October 2011 and a graduation gathering will mark the end of the programme in March 2012.
Students from all Universities in Hong Kong are welcome to apply. Any working professionals are welcome to become mentors in the programme. We welcome members of the LGBT community as well as allies (gay friendly straight people) to join the programme. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for further enquiry.
